BailBeacon is a free matching service. We help people find and connect with a licensed bail agent near the jail.

We are not a bail bondsman, bail agent, bail bond company, attorney, or law firm. We do not post bail, write bonds, or give legal advice. Information on this site is general information only, and bail rules can vary by state and county.

When you ask us to help you find a licensed bail agent, we only ask for the basic details needed to make a match. This usually includes your contact information and the jail details.

Contact information may include your name, phone number, email address, and preferred language. Jail details may include the jail name, city, state, and the arrested person's basic booking information if needed to identify the correct facility.

Please do not send sensitive information that is not needed for a match. That includes Social Security numbers, bank or financial account numbers, card numbers, passwords, or private legal strategy.

We use the information you share to respond to your request and help connect you with a licensed bail agent who serves the jail area you give us. We may also use your details to answer follow-up questions, improve our service, and keep basic records of requests.

If we connect you with a licensed bail agent, that agent may contact you directly. You should verify the agent's license yourself before sharing more information or making any payment.

BailBeacon does not set bail, does not set the bail premium, and does not guarantee release, price, or outcome. In many states, the bail premium is a state-regulated, usually non-refundable percentage of the full bail amount, often around 10%, set by your state. Some states have limited or ended cash bail, including Illinois and New Jersey, so the process may be different where the arrest happened.

We share your information only as needed to help with your request. That may include sharing your contact details and jail details with a licensed bail agent so they can contact you.

We may also share information with service providers who help us operate our website or communications, if they need it to perform that work for us. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of our service.

We do not ask you for unnecessary financial information just to get matched. If anyone claims to be BailBeacon and asks for a Social Security number, bank account number, or similar sensitive data just to connect you with an agent, stop and contact us.

You can choose not to submit a request. If you do submit one, please limit it to contact information and jail details only.

If you want to ask what information we have, request an update, or ask us to delete information you shared with us, please reach out through our contact page. We will review your request and respond as required by applicable law.

Please note that if your information has already been shared with a licensed bail agent, you may also need to contact that agent directly about their records and privacy practices.

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you submit. But no website, text message, email, or internet transmission can be promised to be 100% secure.
